What is Dog Massage Therapy for Dogs?
Therapeutic dog massage promotes your dog’s health. Massage can help to improve not only the dog’s physical health but also their mental wellbeing – just like humans!
Based on our initial consultation, we will employ massage techniques designed to enhance mobility, reduce pain and improve overall behaviour.

What are the Dog Massage Therapy Types?
We use a mixture of two types of massage therapies that have proven to be very effective, beneficial and easy on the dog.
We use traditional Swedish massage and the other is Thai massage methods on the dogs. We also use some Reiki methods.
During our consultation, we may recommend some alternative treatments that can be used in the dogs healing process to include: hydrotherapy, acupuncture and more.
Where does the treatment take place?
We recommend that dog massage therapy is performed in our mobile environment.
Dogs tend to behave differently in a non-domestic environment which makes the treatment easier to conduct.
What should I have organised?
We recommend that you bring a blanket for your dog to lie on and we ask that you don’t feed or let them drink up to two hours prior to the session to avoid any nasty mishaps!
How long does the treatment take?
The treatment typically takes between 40-45 minutes to complete. This includes our consultation with the dog to assess the best course of treatment for them.
However, in some cases, the dogs get so relaxed that they fall asleep which is a real compliment to us.

Reiki Dog Therapy
The word Reiki is derived from the Japanese terminology “higher power” and “life force energy”. In dogs, Reiki can promote calmness and healing, just like humans.
This form of therapy can be used in conjunction with other therapeutic techniques and is a great preventative method for any potential illnesses.
How Does Reiki Dog Therapy Work?
Chakras (wheel of light) are presented throughout the body. Dogs have the same seven chakras as humans plus one more. Each one regulates a different part of the body and comes together to balance out the bodies energy and keep everything operating as it should.
During times of stress or sickness these Chakras can get blocked and this is where the Reiki practitioner can help. This form of massage therapy is non-invasive and can be used with any breed.
